June 1, 2024: Boone, IA 50036 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) and the host Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA), witnessed Dowling Catholic's softball squad tip Boone by a count of 1-0.
The Maroons now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, June 1. Dowling Catholic will face a Spartans squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Boone moves to 5-6 on the season. The Toreadors host Carroll (Carroll, IA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Monday, June 3. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 2-6. Carroll lost 12-0 in their recent league match against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA)
