Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Indianola Indians (Indianola, IA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. Johnston will face a Railsplitters squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Railsplitters record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Indianola falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Winterset (Winterset, IA) to face the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
