In Monday's non-league game, the host Columbus Sailors baseball team scored a tight 15-8 victory over the Oelwein Huskies.

The Sailors (7-8) will now prepare for their game against Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Grundy Center got by East Marshall (Le Grand, IA), 9-0, in a non-league contest.
