Iowa High School Baseball - Wayne wallops Melcher-Dallas
June 11, 2025: Corydon, IA 50060 The Wayne Falcons baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Melcher-Dallas Saints to 1 in the Falcons non-league win on Wednesday.
The Falcons now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southeast Warren for a Pride of Iowa test on Thursday, June 12. Wayne will clash with a Warhawks team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 6-4.
With the defeat, Melcher-Dallas drops to 2-6 on the year. The Saints host Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA) to clash with the Eagles in a Bluegrass - East test on Friday, June 13. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-5. Moulton-Udell won 11-7 in their recent non-league test against Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA)
