Iowa High School Softball - Central Decatur bounces East Union
June 12, 2025: Leon, IA 50144 The Central Decatur Cardinals softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting East Union Eagles to 3 in the Cardinals league win on Thursday.
The Cardinals now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martensdale-St. Mary's for a Pride of Iowa battle on Friday, June 13. Central Decatur will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 5-1 league win over Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, East Union moves to 4-7 on the season. The Eagles host Clarinda (Clarinda, IA) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Saturday, June 14. The Cardinals come into the battle with a record of 13-3. Clarinda lost 5-0 in their recent non-league battle against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA)
