Iowa High School Softball - Garner-Hayfield/Ventura knocked off by Clear Lake
June 12, 2025: Garner, IA 50438 In Thursday's non-league test, the Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals (Garner, IA), by a count of 12-4.
Next, the Lions meet the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) in a North Central test, on Friday, June 13. Clear Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 6-4 record after their 12-4 league loss to St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA).
The Cardinals (4-4) will now prepare for their test against North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Warriors go into the Top of Iowa-West test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, North Union toppled Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA), 11-5, in a league test.
