Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 8-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Thornton Academy upgrades its record to 23-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Bangor (Bangor, ME) to battle the Rams in a non-league test on Saturday, June 18. The Rams come into the test with a record of 21-2. Bangor won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Edward Little (Auburn, ME)

With the defeat, South Portland falls to 16-4 on the season.
