Maine High School Lacrosse - Waynflete nips Maranacook
June 2, 2025: Readfield, ME 04355 The Waynflete Flyers lacrosse squad scored 9 points and limited the host Maranacook Black Bears to 8 in the Flyers league triumph on Monday.
The Flyers now hold a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Region for a Class C challenge on Tuesday, June 3. Waynflete will clash with a Lakers squad coming off a 11-9 league loss to Morse (Bath, ME). The Lakers record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Maranacook falls to 5-2 on the year. The Black bears host Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 3. The Huskies go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Maine Central Institute lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)
