Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Warwick for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 22. Mt. Hope will face a Wizards squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Wizards record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Ponaganset falls to 8-8 on the campaign.
