June 21, 2024: Center Point, IA 52213 Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA), 10-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Wahlert improves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to play the Saints in a non-league game on Tuesday, June 25. The Saints enter the game with a record of 19-8.
The Stormin' Pointers now hold a 10-14 record. They play next when they travel to Vinton-Shellsburg for a WaMaC-West game on Monday, June 24. Center Point-Urbana will play a Vikings squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Independence (Independence, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 7-20.
