June 21, 2024: Johnston, IA 50131 The Pleasant Valley Spartans the host Johnston Dragons softball squad by a final score of 4-0 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Spartans (24-2) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 25-7 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon held off Muscatine (Muscatine, IA), 6-4, in a non-league battle.
The Dragons now possess a 19-7 record. They play next when they host North Scott for a non-league battle on Saturday, June 22. Johnston will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA). The Lancers record now stands at 16-3.
