June 21, 2025: Greene, IA 50636 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA) and the visiting Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA), observed North Butler's softball team notch a victory over Hampton-Dumont/CAL by a final score of 12-3.
The Bearcats (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Vikings come into the Top of Iowa-East outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Northwood-Kensett was routed by Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA), 17-4, in a non-league outing.
With the loss, Hampton-Dumont/CAL moves to 4-6 on the season. The travel to St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to encounter the Gaels in a North Central outing on Monday, June 23.
