Iowa High School Softball - Waukon bounces New Hampton
June 23, 2023: New Hampton, IA 50659 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) and the host New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), witnessed Waukon's softball squad tip New Hampton by a count of 13-8.
The Indians now sport a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Charles City for a non-league match on Tuesday, June 27. Waukon will face a Comets squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Denver (Denver, IA). The Comets record now stands at 12-11.
With the loss, New Hampton moves to 9-9 on the season. The Chickasaws travel to West Lyon (Inwood, IA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, June 24. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 17-2. West Lyon won 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA)
