Iowa High School Softball - Ankeny Centennial holds off Johnston
June 26, 2023: Ankeny, IA 50023 Ankeny Centennial Jaguars (Ankeny, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now own a 20-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southeast Polk for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 29.
With the loss, Johnston falls to 18-12 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Carlisle (Carlisle, IA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 27. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 24-2. Carlisle lost 10-0 in their recent non-league game against North Polk (Alleman, IA)
