June 27, 2024: Manchester, IA 52057 The Mt. Vernon Mustangs baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host West Delaware Hawks to 4 in the Mustangs league win on Thursday.
The Mustangs now hold a 15-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Delaware for a WaMaC-East test on Thursday, June 27. Mt. Vernon will play a Hawks team coming off a 7-4 league loss to Solon (Solon, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 8-19.
With the defeat, West Delaware drops to 10-20 on the year. The Hawks host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to play the Mustangs in a WaMaC-East test on Thursday, June 27. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 14-13. Mt. Vernon lost 11-2 in their recent non-league test against Linn-Mar (Marion, IA)
