June 27, 2025: Alburnett, IA 52202 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA) and the host Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), observed Durant's softball team get by Alburnett by a tally of 8-5.
The Wildcats (15-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA). The Comets go into the non-league bout with a 16-6 record. In their last bout, West Liberty tipped Davenport North (Davenport, IA), 13-5, in a non-league bout.

The Lynx go into the bout with a 13-15 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA).
