June 28, 2023: Guttenburg, IA 52052 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA) softball team overwhelmed the host Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA), by a margin of 20-14.
With the triumph, Turkey Valley moves its record to 12-17 on the year. The Trojans host Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Thursday, June 29. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 20-6. Sumner-Fredericksburg won 6-1 in their recent non-league contest against AGWSR (Ackley, IA)
In their next game, the Eagles play the MFL MarMac Bulldogs (Monona, IA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, June 30. Clayton-Ridge will attempt to move on its 8-18 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 8-21 record after their 14-0 non-league loss to Waukon (Waukon, IA).
