June 28, 2024: Glidden, IA 51443 Ar-We-Va Rockets (Westside, IA) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Glidden-Ralston Wildcats (Glidden, IA), 8-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Ar-We-Va improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Rockets host Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA) to play the Crusaders in a Rolling Valley game on Monday, July 8. The Crusaders enter the game with a record of 8-10.
The Wildcats now hold a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to East Sac County for a non-league game on Tuesday, July 2. Glidden-Ralston will play a Raiders squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 9-14.
