Iowa High School Softball - Newell-Fonda bounces Le Mars
June 28, 2025: Le Mars, IA 51031 The Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Le Mars Bulldogs to 1 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sioux Central for a Twin Lakes battle on Monday, June 30. Newell-Fonda will confront a Rebels team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Okoboji (Milford, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 14-7.
With the loss, Le Mars moves to 23-7 on the season. The Bulldogs host Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA) to battle the Wolverines in a Missouri River match on Monday, June 30. The Wolverines go into the match with a record of 5-10. Sioux City West lost 10-3 in their recent league match against Le Mars (Le Mars, IA)
