Iowa High School Softball - Fairfield nudges Pleasant Valley
June 3, 2022: Fairfield, IA 52556 Fairfield Trojans (Fairfield, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burlington for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 6. Fairfield will battle a Grayhounds squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Keokuk (Keokuk, IA). The Grayhounds record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Pleasant Valley falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 4. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-1.
