June 5, 2024: Maynard, IA 50655 The North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) softball nipped the host West Central Blue Devils (Maynard, IA), 8-7 in Wednesday's league bout.
The (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Riceville (Riceville, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 4-6 record. In their last bout, Riceville held off Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA), 12-0, in a non-league bout.
The Blue Devils now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Winneshiek for a Upper Iowa bout on Monday, June 10. West Central will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.
