The Hempfield Area Spartans softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Chambersburg Trojans to 3 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 25-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nazareth Area for a non-league battle on Monday, June 9. Hempfield Area will confront a Blue Eagles team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA). The Blue Eagles record now stands at 18-4.

With the loss, Chambersburg moves to 20-5 on the season.
