Iowa High School Softball - Collins-Maxwell gets by Newell-Fonda
June 8, 2024: Maxwell, IA The Collins-Maxwell got by the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Janesville (Janesville, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Janesville was edged by Clarksville (Clarksville, IA), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now sport a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to East Sac County for a Twin Lakes battle on Monday, June 10. Newell-Fonda will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-5.
