July 1, 2025: Fort Madison, IA 52627 The Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) softball nipped the host Fort Madison Bloodhounds (Fort Madison, IA), 7-6 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
The Cardinals now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Marshall for a non-league outing on Wednesday, July 2. Newton will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 19-9.
