Iowa High School Softball - George-Little Rock drops to Akron-Westfield
July 2, 2025: Akron, IA 51001 Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA), 11-3 in a league game.
With the triumph, Akron-Westfield improves its record to 19-3 on the year. The Westerners travel to Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA) to encounter the Jays in a War Eagle outing on Thursday, July 3. The Jays come into the outing with a record of 7-10. Gehlen Catholic lost 13-1 in their recent non-league outing against North Union (Armstrong, IA)
