Iowa High School Softball - West Sioux sneaks past George-Little Rock
June 27, 2025: Hawarden, IA 51023 In Friday's league match, the host West Sioux Falcons softball team scored a tight 3-2 win over the George-Little Rock Mustangs.
The Falcons (10-9) will now prepare for their match against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA). The Westerners come into the War Eagle match with a 16-2 record. In their last match, Akron-Westfield nipped River Valley (Correctionville, IA), 8-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a War Eagle match, on Monday, June 30. George-Little Rock will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 7-4 league win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
