June 16, 2025: Hawarden, IA 51023 The crowd at Monday's league bout between the West Sioux Falcons (Hawarden, IA) and the visiting Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA), observed West Sioux's softball team get by Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union by a tally of 11-10.
The Falcons (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against George-Little Rock (George, IA). The Mustangs go into the War Eagle bout with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, George-Little Rock was nipped by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA), 11-4, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Royals clash with the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) in a War Eagle bout, on Wednesday, June 18. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will attempt to advance on its 10-4 season record. The Westerners go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 6-1 league win over Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA).
