July 3, 2024: Moville, IA 51039 The Hinton Blackhawks edged the host Woodbury Central Wildcats softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Blackhawks play the Sheldon Orabs (Sheldon, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, July 8. Hinton will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Orabs enter the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 7-5 non-league win over Sibley-Ocheyedan (Sibley, IA).
The Wildcats (19-9) will now prepare for their challenge against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA). The Wolverines enter the non-league challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, South O'Brien was nudged by Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA), 2-1, in a league challenge.
