In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Urbandale J-Hawks softball team scored a nice 13-1 victory over the Ballard Bombers.

The J-Hawks (9-24) will now prepare for their match against Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA). The Jaguars go into the CIML match with a 21-6 record. In their last match, Ankeny Centennial gained a win over Valley (West Des Moines, IA), 8-6, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Bombers face the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) in a Raccoon River contest, on Monday, July 7. Ballard will attempt to improve on its 6-25 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 15-14 record after their 11-1 league win over Carroll (Carroll, IA).
