July 3, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50312 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) and the visiting Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs (Dallas Center, IA), observed Roosevelt's softball team get by Dallas Center-Grimes by a tally of 1-0.
The Roughriders (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Mason City (Mason City, IA). The Mohawks go into the non-league bout with a 7-18 record. In their last bout, Mason City was nipped by Ames (Ames, IA), 11-1, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, July 3. Dallas Center-Grimes will attempt to advance on its 29-6 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 9-2 non-league loss to Valley (West Des Moines, IA).
