Iowa High School Baseball - Trinity Christian loses to Akron-Westfield
July 5, 2024: Akron, IA 51001 Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) followers left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Trinity Christian Tigers (Hull, IA), 12-2 in a league match.
With the triumph, Akron-Westfield moves its record to 24-3 on the season. The Westerners host Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA) to battle the Wolves in a War Eagle match on Tuesday, July 9. The Wolves come into the match with a record of 10-11. Harris-Lake Park won 9-0 in their recent league match against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)
The Tigers now possess a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Monona for a non-league match on Saturday, July 6. Trinity Christian will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-16.
