Georgia High School Softball - Brooks County topped by Cook
August 1, 2024: Adel, GA 31620 Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA), 20-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Cook improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Hornets host Clinch County (Homerville, GA) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, August 3. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 0-1. Clinch County lost 8-3 in their recent non-league game against Berrien (Nashville, GA)
The Trojans now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Appling County for a non-league game on Monday, August 5. Brooks County will play a Pirates squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Telfair County (McRae, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
