August 11, 2022: Brunswick, GA 31520 In Thursday's league contest, the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA), by a margin of 10-1.
With the triumph, Effingham County moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Rebels travel to Lakeside (Evans, GA) to play the Panthers in a 6A Area 2 contest on Tuesday, August 16. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 1-4. Lakeside lost 6-0 in their recent non-league contest against Harlem (Harlem, GA)
In their next game, the Pirates play the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 15. Brunswick will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
