Georgia High School Softball - Heard County sneaks past Central
August 14, 2024: Franklin, GA 30217 The Heard County Braves softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Central Lions to 3 in the Braves non-league win on Wednesday.
The Braves now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Haralson County for a 1A D-I Region 6 battle on Thursday, August 15. Heard County will confront a Rebels team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Rockmart (Rockmart, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Central moves to 3-4 on the season. The Lions host Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 21. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 3-3. Villa Rica won 15-0 in their recent league battle against New Manchester (Douglasville, GA)
