August 15, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28403 Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC), 6-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Hoggard advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Knights in a non-league game on Saturday, August 16. The Knights come into the game with a record of 0-0.
The Blue Comets (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Tigers come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Randleman edged Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
