In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Burke County Bears football squad scored a good 46-35 triumph over the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers.

The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cross Creek (Augusta, GA). The Razorbacks come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Cross Creek prevailed over Josey (Augusta, GA), 22-12, in a non-league battle.

The Musketeers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Thomson for a non-league battle on Friday, August 29.
