August 15, 2025: Abernathy, TX 79311 Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sanford-Fritch improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Highland Park (Amarillo, TX) to face the Hornets in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge on Saturday, October 4. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
Next, the Antelopes meet the Wellman-Union Wildcats (Wellman, TX) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 16. Abernathy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Frenship Memorial (Lubbock, TX).
