In Wednesday's non-league bout, the visiting Goldsboro Cougars volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Southern Wayne Saints.

With the win, Goldsboro upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Clinton (Clinton, NC) to play the Dark Horses in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Dark Horses go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

The Saints now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Lenoir for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 17. Southern Wayne will encounter a Hawks team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
