The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), saw East Gaston's volleyball squad beat South Point by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, East Gaston upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Warriors host North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

The Red Raiders now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to East Lincoln for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. South Point will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
