Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) and the visiting Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV), observed Eureka's volleyball team hold off Pershing County by a count of 2-1.

The Vandals (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Reed got by Silver Stage (Silver Springs, NV), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs battle the Oasis Academy Bighorns (Fallon, NV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 17. Pershing County will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Bighorns enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Smith Valley (Smith, NV).
