In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mira Costa Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Palos Verdes Sea Kings.

The Mustangs (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Clovis West (Fresno, CA). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Clovis West was tipped by Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sea Kings meet the Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 16. Palos Verdes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bobcat enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA).
