Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Bowie advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Volunteers host Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX) to face the Hawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 19. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 2-4. Hendrickson won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lago Vista (Lago Vista, TX)

Next, the Indians play the Benbrook Bobcats (Benbrook, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 19. Alvarado will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Pantego Christian (Arlington, TX).
