In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Kings Mountain Mountaineers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Carson Cougars.

With the win, Kings Mountain advances its record to 7-0 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) to face the Whirlies in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Whirlies go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Cougars now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Philip Simmons for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 16.
