The Kings Mountain Mountaineers edged the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Mountaineers confront the Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 26. Kings Mountain will attempt to advance on its 21-1 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 14-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC).

The Red Tornadoes (21-3) will now prepare for their game against Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Wolverines go into the non-league game with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Polk County edged Mitchell (Bakersville, NC), 3-1, in a league outing.
