In Saturday's non-league match, the Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) volleyball squad overcame the host Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Rangers battle the Brennan Bears (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 16. Smithson Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX).
