Georgia High School Softball - Screven County bounces Jenkins County
August 17, 2023: Sylvania, GA 30467 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) and the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA), saw Screven County's softball squad achieve victory over Jenkins County by a count of 8-0.
The Gamecocks now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Southeast Bulloch for a non-league match on Monday, August 21. Screven County will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Jenkins County falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The War eagles host Jefferson County (Louisville, GA) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Monday, August 21. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-5. Jefferson County lost 10-2 in their recent league match against East Laurens (East Dublin, GA)
