The Westlake Chaparrals held off the visiting Franklin Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Chaparrals now have a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reagan for a non-league test on Saturday, August 19. Westlake will confront a Rattlers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 7-3.

The Cougars (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Brandeis (San Antonio, TX). The Broncos enter the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Brandeis held off Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
