North Carolina High School Football - Hickory felled by Alexander Central
August 19, 2022: Hickory, NC 28601 The Hickory Red Tornadoes football team (Hickory, NC), was knocked off 33-15 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, North Gaston was knocked off by East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 28-8, in a non-league challenge.
The Red Tornadoes now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. Hickory will meet a Spartans team coming off a 28-7 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.
