East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC), 16-15 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, East Mecklenburg improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to confront the Titans in a non-league test on Friday, August 26. The Titans come into the test with a record of 0-1. Hopewell lost 59-25 in their recent non-league test against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)

With the loss, Berry drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cardinal host West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Hawks in a non-league test on Friday, August 26. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 1-0. West Mecklenburg won 48-0 in their recent non-league test against Palisades (Charlotte, NC)
