August 19, 2025: Athens, GA 30605 In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Habersham Central Raiders softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Clarke Central Gladiators.
The Raiders (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Loganville (Loganville, GA). The Red Devils come into the 5A Region 8 match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Loganville nipped North Oconee (Bogart, GA), 8-2, in a non-league game.
The Gladiators now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Jackson County for a 5A Region 8 game on Thursday, August 21. Clarke Central will play a Panthers squad coming off a 14-7 non-league win over Grayson (Loganville, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.
